Pointillist Fish.

Students will learn about Pointillism and its history and analyze various artworks that feature the pointillist technique. Students will be able to understand texture and experience how to create value and layering while creating a fish design using the pointillist technique.

Summary:

1. Students will analyze various pointillist artworks. They will describe what they see in the artworks and discuss what kind of colors they can identify through the layering.

2. Students will research a fish design that they would like to recreate using the pointillist technique.

3. Students will expand their use of vocabulary terms by writing a reflection about their artwork using those terms.
