Aquarium Mural

These first graders learned about their local zoo and analyzed selected artworks/murals from Banksy and other street artists, as we talked about the marine animals that are in their local zoo. These students were able to identify different types of marine animals in the zoo and create them out of construction paper, along with learning about texture, shape, and space.

Summary:

1. Students will analyze murals featuring marine life from the zoo by Banksy and other street artists.

2. Students will create their own version of marine life out of construction paper and crayons.

3. Students will share their process of creating their fish to their peers.
